stupid opinions about relationships

I’ve seen my fair share of dumb opinions, being on the internet and all.
But one that annoys me the most, and which i’ve actually seen people express IRL without being called out for it, is the idea that just because a girl is in a relationship sudenly means she needs to stop talking to guys. I feel like I don’t need to explain why that’s dumb. If you just automatically assume that if your partner is cheating if she’s talking to another guy, then maybe there’s some trust issues in your relationship that need to be sorted out.
Just saying.
While we’re talking about stupid opinions about relationships, can we just all stop being so sensitive about your partner watching porn?
Like, there’s people out there that genuinely perceive that as cheating.
That’s like saying someone’s a murderer because they shot a guy in call of duty.
People get horny sometimes, it is what it is, stop making a fuzz about it. Same thing with people getting annoyed at polyamory for like, existing.
Why do you care what consenting adults do in their freetime?
Like yeah, being in a polyamorous relationship is obviously harder, but why do you care? It’s not your relationship. If they wanna do that, let em.
Like, ‘oh no, you might break up and be sad, so you should break up now so that doesn’t happen’.
Do you realize how dumb that sounds?
I do actually have a story sort of related to this.
I have a friend who used to date someone else in a discord I was in.
I know, dating on discord, there’s no way a bunch of incredibly stupid drama is about to happen.
So, anyways, a bunch of incredibly stupid drama happened.
People got really mad at the person she was dating.
Why?
Because she had a lot of breakups before.
So…
They were afraid that she’d break up with my friend and make her sad.
Naturally, the only reasonable response is to bully her out of the discord and make sure she breaks up with her.
Because that makes sense.
So yeah, they banned her and blocked her on literally everything.
Good times.
I still have contact with guys, but I honestly should have just left then.
Alas, I am really averse to getting in conflicts with people so I didn’t interfere except for venting about it to my boyfriend.
I still feel really bad about that, honestly.
If any of the guys from that discord are reading this, uh…
