I just discovered https://wd40drinkingdiary.blogspot.com/ and it has instantly become my favorite blog. The gimmick of having every post start with a review of a softdrink and then start talking about something entirely different and only vaguely related for the rest of the post is incredibly funny. And the posts are all great too! Pretty thought provoking stuff on there.

Probably one of the worst things about talking to people online is when you're chatting with someone and it becomes clear they've stopped paying attention to anything you say and are just talking to someone else in dms. Irl, it's not socially acceptable to get out your phone and start chatting mid-conversation, so why do people do this sort of stuff online? Apologies for the vagueposting lol, just needed to get that off my chest.

On social media I often see these posts that are like, "wow, its so strange that neurotypical people do this". And like, half of the time the thing theyre talking about is the most insane shit that no reasonable person would ever actually do. ...And then I realize the poster is probably from the us and it all starts making sense.

I've been listening to this song, and I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that, when the singer is talking about how his life is slowly falling apart, he gives an example of only getting up at 10 am. I regularly sleep in 2-4 hours longer than that... Oh well.

Somehow, I still get frankly unreasonable amounts of dopamine whenever I see myself getting she/herd in a blogpost someone else wrote. Youd think that sorta thing would wear off after a while, but it does still make me very happy every time i see it.

i was thinking about crossposting this feed to mastodon, but i realized that i quite like the idea of people needing to actively seek out my stupid showerthoughts. it gives this thing a sort of message in a bottle vibe, which i like. also every twitter adjacent platform will inevitably be hell to use due to just being one giant comment section, essentially (and comment sections suck ass, as ive previously expressed)
